Spring Poetry

I wrote some poetry recently, my first attempt since school. I don’t think they are too bad so I thought I would share.

The awkward silence

Frozen hands

Cold air surrounds

A touch would start the spring

I am incapable

Unable to say

I substitute

– a poor substitute

we laugh

we stare

The Housemate

I understand I must frustrate you my friend

When I do not take the help you offer to lend

You are a sweet girl I know that’s true

But living with you leaves me feeling so blue

And in my politest term I kindly ask

Releasing the feelings I’ve been forced to mask

To leave my stuff the Fuck alone

It may have slipped your mind but this is my home
