All About Me

I am a 20 something postgraduate student in the School of Medicine at Cardiff University.  I research Human Papillomavirus and anogenital cancer progression. Worryingly I am almost finished my PhD and now need to try and get a job in the real world. I am a proud mother to many cell lines which have been my temperamental children over the last few years.

Outside the lab I enjoy reading and writing…I have attempted 2013 Nanowrimo but I don’t know if I am cut out for long prose. I have performed at a few poetry open mic nights around Cardiff including Back of the Pub Poetry Club, Birkenstomp and Made in Roath events. I am also a bit of a tech geek and love a new and shiny piece of hardware. I have a very wonderful lady friend who puts up with me, what more can a girl ask for?
